Though we should be busy doing something, but not in the sense that we are doing two things simultaneously. Two things mean two jobs which are different from each other and have their own importance. People do this in order to save time, but they actually waste time by doing two tasks at the same time because it reduces the effectiveness of both the tasks.
Like, people try to talk on phone while doing exercise. When you do this you are neither be able to focus on your exercise nor you seem to be good at talking. There are chances that you will skip something. Doing two jobs seems to be smart and time-saving, but it definitely affects your performance in both jobs.
Everything requires proper time and completion, which again requires proper focus and attention. Doing less with effectiveness is better than doing more with weak performances. You should always think of a long upcoming period when you consider doing two things at a time. Because it looks good if you see them for a short period. But we are here not to make them appear good, we are here to make them really good. And this will happen when you perceive the idea that each thing has its own significance and consequences. If you underestimate anything, that thing will underestimate you. So, take enough time to do a thing. This time taking is always better than regretting afterward.
Your performance decides the consequences. And, the better the consequences, the more the motivation. The more the motivation, the more the interest. The more the interest, the better the performance. And likewise this cycle repeats itself, making you prudent in your job. So, it is better if you take the proper time to complete a task. By doing this, you are also avoiding the distractions that may be generated from another job which is in progress.
Doing less with effectiveness is better than doing more with weak performances.
