BREAK

So, you have been working for days, months, or years and still think you are not tired and don't need any stop between your work. This can happen when either you are numb, who can't feel anything, or you are superhuman, who have tremendous powers to keep performing your activities  continuously. And if you are not in any of these two cases, you indeed have some limitations. So, by perceiving this factual thing, let us understand how taking breaks can help you in several things in order to be more productive.

1. Joy in profession

Doing the same work repeatedly for a long time makes your mind saturated, exhausted and tedious. So to keep the work exciting and enjoyable, there should be small breaks to free your mind and prevent it from overloading things. The work that demands high cognitive skills often make you mentally tired and lazy because of the concentration that you need to accomplish the task. You start getting bored afterwards. On the other hand, the work that requires a lot of physical work make you physically down and you start feeling low stamina, which ultimately reduces the productivity. So a few minutes of break can lessen the mental load and refresh your body to get up again.

2. Going further

Breaks are also essential to energise you to keep going further and cross the barrier which is being created by your fully filled mind. If you don't take time or break between the job you are performing, you will yourself reduce your capability to do things. A thought, which tells you to stop everything and quit, comes in your mind at this time. But in case you make a halt and sit down for a moment, you bring a motivation to accomplish the task. Because doing tasks in parts or phases is easier than completing it in a single throw.

3. Feedback

A break is always needed from time to time to have a collective data of what you are doing and learning. It can be very much helpful as it provides a graph of your work to understand it with more clarity and effectiveness. Now, this clarification and understanding makes your work or job more interesting. Once this becomes interesting, you automatically become more capable in performing your activities. The break is that leisure time which offers you the chance to digest your doings, learn from ups and downs and take effective decisions on base of your experiences.

4. Stable focus

The high skills and managing job have a huge impact on your cognitive balances. It requires very high concentration to complete the task successfully. So, to enhance the stability in your focus, you need to take some time out of your fast going schedule and utilise it to get refreshed. This time can also be helpful in making plans and strategies before going any further without plans. You must have heard that we should think before we speak, just like that we should stop and make plans before we take actions. When this thing becomes a habit, your mental balance will be tremendous and very dominant and powerful at work.

A break is just like a physical workout. We exercise, take a diet and give our body enough time to recover the broken muscles. Most of the bodybuilders work out five days a week. Then two days are utilised to recover their body for the next week. Likewise, our brain has muscles that get stressed after performing same activity for very long.

So, why not have fun having breaks and do something that you love and distress your brain muscles. It is not a waste of time, instead it is utilisation of time to digest your hard work, learn from your experiences, get motivation and refresh yourself to perform the upcoming activities. It brings strength and stamina. So, rest is as essential as work.

Take a break to remove STIR,
Take a break to enhance POWER.
