But it needs you to put some efforts in order to achieve such a balanced and focused mind. And, once you are able to do that, you become a better version of yourself. Your mindfulness will increase gradually and so as your effectiveness on the job. But what are the ways to do that. Before i discuss about what are they, let me tell you an example of how things are more mentally and less physically.
In one of the weekends i was going out for some grocery shopping. I needed to follow the same route that i follow to go to my work place. Everything was same, all those buildings, roads, people going for duty, coming from duty, but one thing which was not same was my mind. I did not have anything stressful. I didn’t have any unnecessary thought which can disturb me. I was simply enjoying my ride because i knew that today i will stay at home, no work no stress.
I never look at the trees, the roads, the atmosphere while i am going for duty, but now that i am free, everything seems very beautiful to me. I admire the campus and its atmosphere. I admire the nature. I admire myself that i have this job. But why this happens if it is all the same. Because it is different only in my mind. My mind is not overthinking, it is just thinking which is very normal. It is made for this. But when we overthink we call for unnecessary stress.
Another instance is that when you meet your seniors, your colleagues, your juniors, things are very different. You and they are totally different persons. At this moment you seem to be supporting each other. You talk about family things. You talk about your future aspects. You talk about finances. You become one and criticise your boss. And what not?
But at your workplace you are always criticising one another. You behave like a team but you do not work as a real team, but when it comes to organising a party, you suddenly become very active and energetic. You all become one and divide tasks and fulfil them very dedicatedly. So, what is the difference. Why can’t we be the same persons. It is true that there is a lot of difference in our professional and personal lives. We behave differently. But the basic characteristics of a human should remain the same.
I know i am stretching this article towards more of moral values, but my main focus is to make a point about our mental tiredness from work and life. All the time we keep saying that we don’t have time, we can’t do that, this job is very hard, things are going to become even more difficult in coming time.
If you think you are tired of working, then how can you work at home on weekends. You can do more at home than you do at work without getting stressed. What is the difference. Only your mind.
Now let us discuss about the ways and means by which we can achieve the goal that i talked about initially in this article which is to have a focused and clear mind.
Company
We keep saying about good and bad company, but the question is, are we actually able to implement this company rule in our real life? No! Which is why we can never come out of the rat race and the trap in which we are stuck and will be stuck throughout our life.
First of all we need to find out the people who are very negative in every aspect of life, who never work hard, who doesn’t take care of their health, who are always complaining, who are always criticising. These people are very toxic for ourselves. After finding them out, we should avoid unnecessary contacts and conversations with them.
Next is to find out good people, who are positive, who talk about ideas, who talk about future aspects, who talk about team work, who support each other, who talk about good things. And then attach yourself with those people.
You will notice that your life start changing in good ways. Work will no longer seem to be work. And you will be able to become a person of very less stress and free mind.
Health
Why people are unable to stay healthy? Because they have a myth in their mind that physical activity requires a lot of time. But believe me 15 minutes good training is enough to make you wet with sweat, just 15 minutes and you are all set.
And if we talk about a good balanced diet, it doesn’t require anything from you, no extra time, no extra money, no extra motivation, but only discipline.
So, know the importance of your body and put some efforts on keeping it in shape so that your mind stays in happy mood.
Active lifestyle
Everyone has 24 hours in a day, no one can have even a microsecond extra from you. So, it then comes to managing the time. It happens that sometimes you may not and sometimes you may able to achieve it, but it doesn’t disturb the process or stop you from being consistent.
Now, you might be thinking that how this good company, health and active lifestyle have anything to do with the problem which we discussed earlier, but it is easier said than done. So you need to at-least try this for one or two weeks and then see the results yourself. Because man needs results to get some motivation and then continue the same permanently.
Don’t say Why Me? Say, Try Me.
