One thing that works as a therapy for you.

 Bad mood, tiredness, irritation and exhaustion are very normal things after working continuously for days. Post being consistently engaged in day to day routine activities such as job, household activities and family requirements etc. there comes a day which makes you feel saturated of everything. Your mind starts having thoughts whether you are doing enough or not for yourself and your family.

In such times there should be something to do which works as a therapy for you. That something should release all the frustrations, stress, anxiety and the saturation that i talked about. It should make you feel fresh as if you never thought what you actually thought before doing this activity. 


That something for me is physical exercise. I, almost, daily go to the gym except my rest days or any one particular day when i am very busy. Gym does that therapy for me. During those boring days it is,though, tough to go outside and do something, but applying 2 minutes rule, as mentioned in Atomic Habits, is what you can apply here. You just need to reach there in whatever way you can. After that your body will be in the motion automatically. 


The therapy to remove all problems may be music for some, art for some, cooking for some, shopping for some or any such activity that you can perform in order to get refreshed. Apart from activities, it may be any person that you talk to and feel very good. 


Moreover, it can be living alone and explore yourself even more because it is the best and the most effective way to find yourself. This is not about disappearing from people and your problems, rather it is about going nearer to them to perceive them in a better way. 


So, finding the therapy is very important. Sometimes you already know it and you often use it to feel good, it is just you don’t realise what exactly you are doing. For instance, you had a bad day, then in the evening you did something that made you feel better but you didn’t care what it was. So, the next time you will have to find it. That is why it is about realisation and finding out what works for you otherwise you will keep searching for the solutions and you wouldn’t find them even when you already have them. 


Everything is around you. The bad and the good. After reading a great book, you say to yourself that you already know what is written in this book, but have you implemented those things in your life till now? No. What was the reason. The reason is that you don’t observe things carefully. Why you feel good, why you feel bad. What is the main cause of all of your sufferings. You do not care about these questions. Once you become able to find out this, you will start becoming a better version of yourself. 


Sometimes life is to go with the flow and sometimes it is to find the logic to make things clear so you can focus more without any distractions.  So, when you think that it is time to jump with the wind’s direction, then jump and if you think that it is time to find the cause of that wind speed and direction, then you better do that. It is about choices that you make in your life that moulds your life. 


So find that one thing you love to do. It will definitely make you mentally strong, spiritually stable and physically healthy.
